Prevent sharing:
hats, head bands, hooded coats, scarves, combs, brushes, pillows and soft toys.
Notify school
If you discover head lice on your child, notify school or day-care staff immediately, since classmates are likely to be infected.
Keep infected children home
Infected children should be kept home from school and treated as soon as possible.
Avoid head to head contact
Head lice do not hop, jump or fly and can only be transmitted from one person to another by either close head to head contact or by sharing objects.
Keep a head lice free home
Soak all affected bed linen, towels, hats, clothes, brushes etc. in KP24 Soaking Solution for 30 minutes prior to normal washing to help eradicate head lice and prevent reinfestation.
Check hair regularly
Check your child’s hair for head lice and eggs during the back to school period.

Where are head lice lurking?
Infected children can pass on head lice to family members, so they should be treated too.
