SPF stands for Sun Protection Factor. The SPF number on each pack acts as a guide to the level of sun protection that that product provides, i.e. the SPF indicates how much longer it extends your skin’s natural sunburn protection. For example if your skin starts to burn in 8 minutes then using an SPF 50+ will delay this by approx. 400 mins.

Broad Spectrum Protection means you have protection from both UVA and UVB rays. UVB rays are the suns rays that cause you to get sun burnt, whereas UVA rays are the suns rays that cause more long term and permanent damage such as premature ageing and possibly skin cancer.

By applying AQUASUN 15-20 minutes before you enter the suns rays, the sunscreen has enough time to be absorbed by your skin and allow the active ingredients to deflect the damaging rays.

Yes, all AQUASUN sunscreens offer broad spectrum protection from UVA & UVB rays allowing you to enjoy the outdoors without the feeling of heavy or greasy sunscreen. AQUASUN has been formulated with moisturisers to make it easier for your skin to absorb the sunscreen meaning it doesn't leave any residue on the skin. It also keeps your skin smooth and supple and helps prevent moisture loss.

Re-application of AQUASUN differs depending on the product you are using. Generally, re-apply frequently, especially after swimming, exercising and towel drying. For exact answers please refer to the AQUASUN product that you are using.

Children under 12 months old should not be exposed to direct sunlight at any time. If it is inevitable for your child to be out of the shade, only small amounts of sunscreen can be used at one time. A baby's skin is very sensitive and too much of any type of sunscreen could cause irritation.

Too much sun exposure without proper protection will cause sunburn. Too much sunburn leads to skin damage and premature aging of the skin. Eventually this may lead in turn to serious skin diseases, like skin cancer. Should you get burnt, for temporary soothing relief of pain and to help minimize peeling we suggest you use a high potency Aloe Vera Gel, should you experience serious pain, discomfort and/or blistering please see your doctor.
