A Verruca (Verruca plantaris)
A Verruca on the big toe
There are several varieties of the verruca
- The mosaic verruca which grows superficially
- A thorn verruca, that grows deep from the surface
- Brown or grey coloured, often with one or more blackheads
- Feels soft, can be corneous
The Verruca is common especially with children and youth through contamination in the gym, swimming pool or communal shower
